For school sports for better

180 participants in Mbarara and Lira for Football Coaching and Refereeing.

The USSSA Capacity building programme is taking place at in Mbarara and Lira at Ntare School and Lira Town College respectively.

Over 180 participants in both venues are being trained in football coaching or refereeing.

The training is being conducted by FUFA and FIFA accredited instructors Hadijah Namuyanja and Egesa W Samuel are in Mbarara while Kiiza Sharon and Ayub Khamis are in Lira respectively.

This the fourth time time the programme has been carried out  in districts outside Kampala after Teso Region in February 2023,Kabale-July 2023 and Mbarara September 2023.

Participants are from several districts namely Kitagwenda,Kabale,Kazo,Rukungiri,Kiruhura,Kasese,Bundibugyo,Ntungamo,Kamwenge,Agago,Gulu,Lira,Apac,Amolator,Dokolo,Masindi,Otuke,Masindi,Oyam and Alebtong.

“I believe my understanding of the game and its laws will improve and eventually my match officiation”.

“I feel am being well equipped with information then I hope to officiate a few games this Christmas for practice.”
