2024 Elite Games top scorer earns crested cranes call up.

Head Coach Sheryl Botes has unveiled a 39-player provisional squad for the Uganda Women’s National Team ahead of the upcoming WAFCON Qualifiers.

Notably, the squad features a significant number of players who have risen through the ranks of school sports.

The inclusion of these players aligns the effectiveness of school sports competitions and championships in identifying and nurturing talent, providing a solid foundation for future success at the national and international levels.

Rinah ‘Elite’ Ariho

From being Elite Secondary Schools Games 2024 top scorer with eight goals in six games where Boni finished second a point adrift of Kawempe Muslim, to guiding her side to a sixth place finish at the Ball Games I in Ndejje, she captained Boni Consili to under -16 National glory at the USSSA Ball Games II in Soroti.

Rinah has gone on to clinch new heights by earning a spot in the 39- man provisional squad of the Crested Cranes which is the senior Women’s side alongside team mate Mackline Niwandinda.
