2025 Elite Secondary Schools Championship a blink away – 6TH Edition

Overview

Hosted at St. Joseph of Nazareth High School -Mpigi, the Elite Games are set to take center stage from 14th to 16th February 2025. The three- day will attract top eight teams from the previous year’s championships that is Ball Games 1, National Boys Football championship and ball Games II

DISCIPLINES

From one discipline of football in the inaugural edition in 2019, the sixth edition will comprise of seven ranging from handball (boys and girls), basketball (boys and girls), netball, basketball (boys and girls), volleyball (boys and girls) to football (boys and girls) and rugby 7’s being the latest inclusion.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS

The three- day championship will attract the top eight teams from the previous year’s national championships that is Ball Games I, National Boys Football championship, Ball Games II.

CAPACITY BUILDING

The championship will not only be an opportunity for athletes to shine but also a stage for capacity building trainees to practice and master their craft since they are the majority deployed for particularly this tourney.

From referees to umpires to media officers the elite games often provide that development platform and this year’s edition is no exception.
