Under the theme, School Sports: From the playing fields to economic fields, the fourth ever FEASSA International Sports Symposium came to a close at Golf Hotel Kakamega.
The two day event took place from 20th to 21st August 2025.
International School Sports Federation President Zeljko Tanaskovic was the key note speaker on day 2 of this event.
From the symposium, it was made known officially that 2022 hosts Tanzania will host the 2026, 23rd edition of the games which means raising the bar even higher.
In the symposium, Uganda represented by the commissioner Physical Educational and Sports Rev. Can. Dr. Duncans Mugumya expressed the government’s commitment to supporting school sports as it acts as a bed for the senior national teams.
FEASSA and USSSA president Justus Mugisha appreciated the work by all member associations in improving school sports each passing year before appreciating Kenya for raising the bar higher in terms of fans watching the games.
“In the coming editions of FEASSA we might actually start asking for stadia such that people can watch our games comfortably. Therefore the next hosts must start thinking about that.”
The symposium was also attended by other key school sports dignitaries that is Stelios Daskalakis, General Secretary of the European School Sport Federation, Olabish Joseph, Vice President FASS, Hasnae Iddriss, Executive Director ISF, Different Association heads, Ministry officials among others.
The 2025 FEASSA Games officially come to a close on Friday 22nd 2025 with crowning of champions as we await to see who will take the overall crown home.
