The USSSA District qualifiers in Otuke District came to a thrilling conclusion at Okwang Secondary School, with five schools competing in a showcase of athletic excellence.
Adwari Secondary School, Okwang Secondary School the host School and the defending champion, Ogor Secondary School, Otuke Secondary School, and Orum Secondary School all vied for top honors in the sole sport of athletics.
After a day of intense competition, Adwari SS emerged victorious with an impressive 373 points. Okwang SS followed with 286 points, while Ogor SS, Orum SS, and Otuke SS trailed with 249, 182, and 93 points, respectively.

The Chairperson of USSSA Otuke District commended the participants on their hard work and dedication, warning games teachers against bringing non-bonafide students to these events. “We will not tolerate any form of age cheating,” they emphasized.

Otuke District Sports Officer, Obira James, expressed his gratitude to Okwang SS and the local community for their warm hospitality. He also announced plans to expand the district’s sporting horizons, introducing volleyball and netball to the tournament roster next year.
