ISF World Schools Basketball Championship: Shifrah, Abigail Shines As Uganda Brutals India In The First Classification Match

Having failed to advance to quarter finals , the girls regrouped and registered their first win against India in the first classification game played today morning.

After failing to advance to the quarterfinals, Uganda’s girls’ basketball team delivered a resounding performance, crushing India 88-16!

Shifrah Kiranda and Abigail Mpoza Lucy were the stars of the show, scoring 18 and 13 points respectively. The Ugandan team was on fire, dominating all four quarters with their impressive defense and offense.

The match saw Uganda take a commanding lead of 19-2 in the first quarter, which they further extended to 34-2 by the second quarter. India struggled to find their footing, trailing 63-6 by the end of the third quarter. The final quarter saw Uganda seal the deal with a 25-10 win.

Shifrah’s 18 points and Abigail’s 13 points were the highlights of the game, showcasing their commitment ,skills, talent, and team work.

Uganda returns on court on Tuesday for its final championship game.
