Overview
The Acholi Zonal Qualifiers saw an intense competition between schools from 7 different districts. The track and field events included a wide range of competitions for both boys and girls, ending in a nail-biting finish as Kitgum took home the top prize. But the excitement didn’t stop there. Sacred Heart SS Gulu dominated the netball competition, winning their matches and claiming their place as champions. The Acholi Zonal Qualifiers climaxed on Sunday 29th June at Boma Grounds in Kitgum with different schools scooping trophies and medals. Athletics headlined the zonal championships, competed in by 7 districts of Agago, Amuru, Gulu, Omoro, Kitgum, Lamwo, and Pader, Nwoya missing out on presenting a team.
The track and field events that were competed for by the teams both boys and girls were; 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M, 1500, 3000M, 5000M, medley relay long, medley relay short, 4x100M, 4by400M, Javelin, High Jump, long jump, discus, shot put, and triple jump.
In the rankings, Kitgum ranked first after collecting 414 points (202 for boys and 212 for girls), Gulu scooped silver with 313 points (155 for boys and 158 for girls), Amuru came third after collecting 216 points (101 for boys and 109 for girls). Other districts were ranked as follows based on their total points collected

Sacred Heart SS Gulu won netball after winning all their games in a round-robin contention of 5v netball teams (schools) and other disciplines as follows;
