Team Uganda officially flagged off – FEASSA Games 2024.

Overview

In an event where the State Minister for Sports Hon. Peter Ogwang was chief guest, the team to represent Uganda at this year’s Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Associations games (FEASSA) was officially sent off to the battle field on Wednesday 14th.

During the flag off ceremony, Hon Peter Ogwang tasked the young athletes to make it a point to defend the East African trophy.

“As you go to Bukedea, you are not going for merry making, you are going for a competition. Make sure you bring gold medals to Uganda,”- he said

Fact

Uganda won the overall gold trophy in Huye, Rwanda. Uganda is also on a very good run in the FEASSA games having three-peated this feat winning previous editions in Tanzania and Kenya.

FEASSA President Justus Mugisha, who is also the host president was nothing short of appreciation to the Government through the Ministry of Education and Sports for the support granted in running these games.

Composition

Uganda will have the biggest representation at this year’s FEASSA Games having registered a total of 1500 athletes competing in different disciplines.

About 50 schools confirmed their participation in this year’s edition the games.

The FEASSA Games kick off on Friday 16th this month and will end on 27th August.

Hosts Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School will play hosts of the 21st edition of the East Africa Schools Games.

    Yy is Kisozi seed school not included in the boys football yet it qualified for the games
