Having had the games start this Monday, all teams from the various countries have continued to polish their skills and up their game so that they can out-compete their colleagues. The matches have become more intense and spirited both in girls and boys.
In the 3X3 girls, Ugandan teams from St. Mary’s Kitende and Nabisunsa Girls have taken on each other and unlike at the FEASSA Qualifiers, the match has ended in favour of Kitende with a score of 16 : 13.
In the 5X5 girls, Kenya’s Kayi Tiwi and Butere Girls have played each other though it ended with a win for Kayi Tiwi with a score of 57 : 49.
The girls 5X5 matches were closed with a game between St. Noa Girls and GS Marie Reine(Rwanda) where St. Noa outdid themselves and scored 83 baskets while GS. Marie only managed to collect 48 baskets.
On the other hand, Buddo SS played Doctor Aggrey (Kenya) in the boys’ 5X5 and the match ended in favour of Buddo with a score of 80 :69.
Given the current stand, we believe that there are a lot more mind blowing games in this Year’s FEASSA basketball matches as they continue to unfold.
