Mpoma School’s girls’ woodball team has vowed to win this year’s title after a impressive performance on day two of the USSSA Ball Games II and Mind Games at Teso College Aloet. The team, which finished third in last year’s tournament in Kabale, qualified for the semi-finals with a 2-1 victory over St Mark’s College Namagoma in the quarterfinals.
Defending champion Mityana SS was knocked out of the competition after losing 2-1 to Mengo SS in the quarterfinals. Despite winning all their group stage games, Mityana SS failed to progress to the semi-finals.
