Isingiro-based Boni Concilli Girls Vocational School made its international debut this year, representing Uganda at the inaugural CAF Girls Integrated Football Tournament 2025 in Tanzania from January 7-18, 2025.
In Group B, Boni Concilli played two games, losing 2-0 to TDS Girls from Tanzania and drawing 1-1 with Aigle Noir from Burundi. The team finished second but, with no semi-finals, had to play the second-placed team in Group A for positions 3 and 4.
In a game played on Friday, January 17, at Azam Complex, Kyamanzi, Boni Concilli lost to KAS 2-0, finishing fourth. The team returned to Uganda on Sunday, January 19, at 3:15 PM, receiving praise from officials.
Ayub Khalifah Kiyingi, the team’s Leader of Delegation, expressed optimism about the exposure the girls gained. “It is empowering to see the girls given an opportunity to feature in international engagements at a young age. David Baale, the team’s Head Coach, believes the girls gained valuable experience to drive them forward in their next engagements, whether local or international.
