Wakiso Zone Basketball Qualifiers got off the mark on 20th March 2025 at Elite High School and neighbors Bethel High School.
Three classic basketball courts, two at Elite High School and one at Bethel School hosted over 20 boys and girls teams for two days.
19 boys teams were grouped into four groups, three of five and one of four with each team playing 4 and 3 games respectively.
The group stages were played on both 20th and 21st with 8 teams booking slots for quarter finals.
Hosts Elite High School, Buddo SS and Mbogo Mixed are among the notable schools and with their team structure they are expected to put up a strong challenge though none of the other five can be underrated.
With Wakiso Zone having 8 slots at nationals, this means all the quarter finalists have qualified for the May slated championship to be hosted by Bukedea Comprehensive School.
