A contingent of 47 athletes and officials has been flagged off to represent Uganda at the ISF U-15 Gymnasiade in Zlatibor, Serbia. Of these 34 are student athletes for badminton, table tennis swimming and athletics.
Team Uganda was flagged off officially at an event that took place at Copper Chimney, Lugogo by Cleophas Mugenyi, Acting Director Basic Education, Ministry of Education and Sports who was chief guest.

In attendance was leader of delegation, Sammy Odong, Assistant Commissioner Physical Education, Ministry Of Education and Sports and team leader Patrick Okanya, USSSA President Emeritus, among others.

The ISF Gymnasiade is set to run from 4th to 14th April 2025 in Zlatibor, Serbia.

Table Tennis – Kibuli Secondary School (Boys & Girls), Seroma Christian High School (Boys)
Swimming – Seroma Christian High School
Badminton – Seroma Christian High School (Boys & Girls)
Athletics – Team Uganda.
About the Gymnasiade.
Following the success of Rio 2023, the ISF U15 Gymnasiade will return to its birthplace, Serbia, for the 2025 edition. The inaugural event was held in Belgrade in 2021.
This prestigious global school sports event will see young athletes from across the world compete in 25 sports including Para sports like Archery, Artistic gymnastics, Badminton, Basketball 3×3, Beach volleyball , Boxing, Chess, Dance Sport, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Para Swimming among others providing a platform for future champions to showcase their skills and determination.
Of the 25, Uganda will participate in four that is table tennis, swimming, badminton and athletics.
