Opening Ceremony Graced by Dr. Rev. Canon Duncans Mugumya, Commissioner, Physical Education and Sports in the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES)
The opening ceremony took place at Bushenyi Main Grounds on Wednesday, April 09, 2025.
The ceremony was attended by different dignitaries including school sports administrators in Ankole zone ,politicians head teacher and games teachers.
The guest of honor, Duncan Mugumya, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the well-established structure of sports management in Ankole Zone.
“I specifically recognize and appreciate the contribution of the school’s management. I know it’s quite difficult for you, given the hard economic times, but you have managed to shoulder through,” he added.
“I would want to warn teachers who take back mature learners to sit primary seven exams that your days are numbered, leave children to play with children.”
USSSA Ankole Zone chairperson Mucunguzi Egidio welcomed the athletes to Bushenyi and promised a super organization
The tournament will run from 9th – 13th April 2025 across Bushenyi district.
