Mentor SS will face Kole based team Wisdom High School in the USSSA Lango final show down at Ambalal primary school today 12th April at 2:00pm
Both teams still have a unbeaten run from group stages to semi finals and now they’re set to meet on the finals and everyone is determined to lift the trophy. Wisdom won Lira town College on semi finals by 2-0 to secure a spot on the final while Mentor SS clinched Alemere Comprehensive by 2 goals to nil at Doctor Obote College.These two represented Lango zone at the last year’s national championship in Masaka
Mentor SS won last year’s Zonal trophy while wisdom finished 3rd and its their first time to play Zonal finals and determined to lift the trophy
Mean while girls’ semi finals will also be played today between Acaba SS and St Mary’s Magdalene Gils’ school at noon at Ambalal Primary school. The two met three twice last year and Acaba won they all both the diocese games and USSSA Zonal qualifiers in Apac. St Marys’ Magdalene won Acaba SS in this years’ diocese games on finals.
St Marys’ Magdalene a sister school to Mentor SS promises to show case excellent performance on the final and determined to lift the trophy .
All these teams have secured a slot to represent Lango at the nationals in Bukedea and Ngora though the third place for the boys will be determined by a match between Lira Town College and Alemere Comprehensive
