The top two teams in each group will progress to the semifinals, making every match a crucial step towards the championship title.

After the third training session in Accra at Nania Park, Uganda girls’ team Head Coach Jimmy Kintu expressed the team’s readiness to battle every opponent.

“We have had our third recovery training session, the girls’ bodies are responding well. We are training under the hot sun which is a two sided effect, we have to get used to it because we are to play under the same environment.” Jimmy Kintu, Uganda Girls Football Team Head Coach.

“It is a tough draw, but again this is the level where we are supposed to compete, the girls are also to come out tough and we see how we can achieve our targets” Kintu added.
