Preparatory meeting held for the upcoming for the National Boys’ football championship.

Preparatory meeting held for the upcoming for the National Boys’ football championship that will be held at Ngora High School in Ngora District has been held at USSSA offices in Old Kampala.

A total of 64 boys’ football teams from the 19 USSSA Zones will take part earned in this year’s football championship that will be hosted in the Eastern district of Ngora.

Ngora High will be hosting the biggest schools football tournament in Uganda from 5th to 15th of May 2025.

The defending Champions are St. Julian High School Seeta from Mukono Zone.

Draws will be held on 29th April 2025 starting at 10:00 am at the USSSA Offices at GNS Plaza, Old Kampala.

“We have more schools and students participating in these games now. The level of organization has also gone up especially at zonal level”. added Mugisha.

There will be 12 Venues for the matches and seven training pitches.

Distances from the host school to the pitches is between 50 meters – 8 kilometers with the farthest Kumi University.

-St. Aloysius Institute (2 pitches)

-BKC Demo Primary School

– Ngora Boys Primary School

-Ngora Girls’ SS

-Apama Primary School

The seven training pitches are located at Ngora Town Council, Kumi University, Aloysius Institute, Tilling Primary School, Koile Primary School, Nyamongo Primary School and Agu Primary School.

“Games teachers must be present throughout the championship and not leave their work to coaches. Endeavour to attend evaluation meetings that are called at every end of the day.” Ayub Khalifa, Executive Committee Member USSSA.

During the meeting Mr. Mugisha introduced Trushar Upadhyay, the General Manager of Graphic Systems whose company has been tasked with making two sets of jerseys for each team that will participate at the football championship in Ngora.

“USSSA, we will provide two sets of jerseys to each team at the upcoming Nationals (Home and Away) in your own school colours.” Justus Mugisha 

Trushar Upadhyay, the General Manager of Graphic Systems, has assured the teachers of quality and timely delivery.
