ROAD TO TORORO IN OTUKE. ADWARI SS DEFENDS TITLE

The Otuke District Athletics qualifiers Successfully comes to an end at Otuke SS marking remarkable success.

The one event day saw five Schools from across Otuke taking part in the qualifiers and these are;

1. Adwari SS
2. Okwang SS
3. Orum SS
4. Ogor SS
5. Otuke SS

Different events both track and field events were participated for and they include 5000M, 3000M, 1500M, 800M, 400M, 200M, 100M, Discuss, Shot put, Javelin, High Jump, Triple Jump, Long Jump, relays and others.

Adwari SS Successfully defended their title that they attained last year at Okwang SS.

Here is the breakdown of the results;

Boys

1. Ogor SS- 144 points
2. Adwari SS- 130 points
3. Okwang SS- 121 points
4. Otuke SS- 83 points
5. Orum SS- 46 points

Girls

1. Adwari SS- 161 points
2. Ogor SS- 155 points
3. Okwang SS- 90 points
4. Orum SS- 74 points
5. Otuke SS- 50 points

OVERALL RANKINGS

1. Adwari SS- 309 points
2. Ogor SS- 299 points
3. Okwang SS- 212 points
4. Otuke SS- 133 points
5. Orum SS- 120 points

A team of athletes has been selected to represent Otuke District at the Lango Zonal qualifiers scheduled to take place from the 27th, June-1st July at Doctor Obote College, Boroboro in Lira City
