USSSA Ball Games II 2025: Shocks Take Centre Stage as Netball Action Reaches Quarters
The Netball tournament in the ongoing USSSA Ball Games II championship in Tororo District reached the quarter final stage with some notable shocks.
Day five saw two rounds played, the round of 32 and round of sixteen.
The once giants, Kibuli SS failed to go past round of 32, falling to Blessed Sacrament Kimanya before Kajjansi Progressive SS shocked Kaddugala SS in an epic encounter.
The 2018 FEASSSA champions, St Noa Girls SS survived Kisozi High School scares by a whisker, only a goal propelled them to the round of sixteen.
Kampala Region champions, Baptist High School got a baptism of fire from Greater Mukono reigning champions, Hamdan Islamic and Ngando SS needed extra time to beat Bulo Parents at this stage.
The record champions, St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende found no serious hurdle to beat St. Andrea Kahwa to cruise to the round of sixteen.
The biggest shocker of the day came at the round of sixteen when the Kayunga District representative, Namagabi SS beat FEASSSA losing finalists, Kawanda SS 25-24.
Kajjansi Progressive moved to the quarter final after beating St Josephine Bakhita 24-22.
On the day, the classification matches were also played.
On Wednesday quarter final matches will be played.
