Namugongo Vocational Reclaims the Boys’ Volleyball Crown
In a tightly contested final, Namugongo Vocational Secondary School reclaimed the boys’ volleyball title after defeating defending champions Bukedea Comprehensive 3-0. Each set was decided by a slim margin. Namugongo’s relentless energy on court, backed by a loud and vibrant crowd, proved too much for the reigning champions.
Speaking after the game, Namugongo captain Opoya William said, “We came in knowing it wouldn’t be easy. Bukedea is a strong team, but we played with heart. This title means so much to us after falling short last year.”
Bukedea Makes It Back-to-Back in the Girls’ Final
Bukedea Comprehensive dominated St Elizabeth once again in a repeat of last year’s final. The girls from Bukedea showed class and control, cruising to a 3-0 win to defend their title and seal back-to-back championships.
Two Finals, Two Rematches
Both the boys’ and girls’ finals were rematches from last year—this time with slightly different results. Namugongo Voc got their revenge, while Bukedea’s girls stood tall once again.
