The third and final preparatory meeting aheaD OF the East African games has been held. -

The third and final preparatory meeting ahead of the East African games has been held at the USSSA offices in Old Kampala.

The games will be held in Kenya’s western county of Kakamega from 12^th to 23^rd August 2025.

First preparatory meeting held ahead of FEASSA games in Kakamega.

The flag off ceremony and departure is on 11^th August 2025 after which teams will depart for the busia boarder post according to Mugisha Chrsitopher Banage, Chief Executive Officer USSSA.

Buses are expected to be at the boarder by 7am so as to clear and arrive in Kakamgea by 2pm.

Please note that Kakamega is an hour and a half drive from Busia boarder.

“Thank you to Tororo teachers, head teachers and the community in general that hosted us during ball games II” Assistant Commissioner PES, Odong Sammy in his opening remarks.

Odong also emphasized discipline as well as unity because while we are out there we are not individual schools but team Uganda.

“There are new disciplines that have been introduced such as Lacrosse, cricket, beach soccer, beach volleyball, scrabble and chess. We should also make sure that we excel in these games too”. Mugisha Justus,USSSA President.

We will also cross the border with our accreditation cards therefore endeavor to complete your form As and submit them as per the guidelines”. Concluded Mugisha, USSSA President.

“Allow me remind you that we are defending champions therefore the overall position is ours to lose. Every team that has qualified for the games has the potential to win so do not be intimidated at this stage.” Kitezaala Twahil, 1st Vice President.

There are over 40 schools that will take part in the game across 16 disciplines. Lacrosse, beach volleyball, beach soccer, beach volleyball, chess and scrabble will be making an appearance at the games for the very first time.
