FEASSA Games 2025: perfect start for Uganda in netball.

Debutants Hamdan Islamic recorded a comfortable victory over Tanzania’s Vwawawa while FEASSA defending champion St. Mary’s Kitende edged Kenya’s Oyugi Ogango by five points to start the campaign with victory.

Uganda is being represented by four teams at the 22nd edition of the Federation of East African School Sports Association (FEASSA) Games 2025 being held in Kakamega Kenya.

Teams reported on Tuesday 12th August and got into action on Thursday, 14th at different venues with Masinde Muliro being the centre stage for netball.

Defending champion St. Mary’s Kitende took it to the field with Kenya’s Oyuge, faced a lot of resistance but bagged it in the end with a five point difference.

Debutants Hamdan Islamic recorded a comfortable victory over Tanzania’s Vwawawa in their first ever FEASSA game writing more history.

Subura Saidi, Netball captain Hamdan Islamic expressed her happiness after winning their first game days after qualifying for FEASSA for the first time at the expense of Kawanda SS who were usual faces at this stage.

Action continues at the FEASSA games in 22 disciplines with the official opening ceremony set for Friday 15th August to be grace by H.E William Ruto president of the Republic of Kenya.
