2025 FEASSA Games (Football):

• Bukedea Comprehensive School (Uganda) 2-0 Benjamin Mpaka High School (Tanzania)

Bukedea Comprehensive School boys football team advanced to the semi-finals of the on-going 2025 FEASSA Games.

Ronald Ssali’s coached school overcame a hard-fighting Benjamin Mpaka High School 2-0 during their last group game contest played at the Kakamega playground (outside field).

A goal in either half from John Assimwe and Simon Wanyama inspired Bukedea Comprehensive to the much desired victory.

Assimwe, a left footed gem broke the resilience of Benjamin Mpaka with a fierce shot just outside the goal area past goalkeeper Flugence Ndimbo in the 32nd minute.

Wanyama, a culprit of foiled missed scoring opportunities in the opening stanza finally rose to life with the second goal on the evening that spurred Bukedea to the semi-finals.

Bukedea Comprehensive School is now the only school from Uganda to advance to the semi-finals of this year’s FEASSA Games.

This followed the early elimination of St Mary’s Kitende, Buddo SS and the 2023 winners Amus College.

“We planned for this game well. We knew it was all in our hands to progress to the semi-finals and we have done it” Ronald Ssali, head coach of Bukedea Comprehensive remarked after the game.

The semi-finals will be played on Thursday, 21st August 2025 ahead of Friday’s grand finale.
