Uganda finished second in the swimming competition at the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association FEASSSA Games in Arusha on Wednesday.
It was cutthroat competition throughout for coach Erick Kisero’s 30-man team but the level of racing aided Uganda’s swimmers’ quest for personal bests.
The boys were slightly dominant pooling 553 points – just four more than Kenya with 549 while the hosts paled with just 317.

Kenya got to revenge in the girls’ category as they won it with 549 points while Uganda got 523. Tanzania continued to ‘swim from distance’ with 415 points.
Captain Sophia Naggayi’s opinion about the competition does not differ much from Kayemba but believes the girls gave everything they could in the competition.
