Thrilling Volleyball Matches Unfold at Ball Games II National Championships on Match Day 5

Kabale University, July 14 – The volleyball games at the Ball Games II National Championships, hosted by St. Mary’s College Rushoroza, continued with great enthusiasm on Friday, July 14. Several schools participated in the matches, as they wrapped up their group stage games in a bid to advance further in the competition.

In the girls’ category, teams such as St. Mary’s Zirobwe, Nabisunsa Girls’ Secondary School, Amizima Schools, Mariam High School, SMACO RUSH, and many others showcased their skills on the volleyball court. The intensity was palpable as the girls fought hard to secure victory for their respective schools.

Among the girls’ games played, St. Mary’s Zirobwe defeated St. Mark College Namagoma with a score of 2-0, demonstrating their prowess on the court. KYEBAMBE Girls’ School dominated their match against Kanyum Comprehensive, securing a convincing 2-0 victory. Mariam High School displayed their strength by defeating Amizima School with a similar scoreline of 2-0.

The matches were fiercely contested, with Nyamirima Secondary School narrowly emerging victorious over Trinity College NABINGO with a score of 2-1. St. Catherine Girls’ School claimed a well-deserved 2-0 victory against St. Mary Magdalene, showcasing their skills and teamwork. St. Elizabeth Girls’ School dominated their match against Namugongo, securing a confident 2-0 win.

In another exciting encounter, Kisaana Secondary School faced off against Nyondo SS Mbale, with the latter emerging as winners with a score of 2-1.

Moving on to the boys’ category, St. Augustine emerged triumphant with a commanding 2-0 victory over Nyamirima Village. MUBENDE Army showcased their strength by defeating SMACO RUSH with a convincing scoreline of 2-0. Masaka SS displayed their dominance on the court, overpowering Kilembe Secondary School with a resounding 2-0 win.

STAHIZA demonstrated their skills and determination, securing a 2-0 victory over MENGO SS. The match between Kibuli Secondary School and Bombo Army was closely contested, with the latter emerging as winners with a score of 2-1. Mbarara High School exhibited their superiority, defeating Trinity Catholic School 2-0.

Ntare Secondary School displayed their exceptional skills, claiming a 2-0 victory over San-Givanni School. Hilton High School put up a stellar performance, defeating Mbale SS with a confident 2-0 win.

The day was filled with thrilling matches, with some notable games standing out, such as STAHIZA versus MENGO SS and St. Elizabeth Girls’ School against Namugongo, which showcased exceptional skills and competitiveness.
