Saturday, July 15th, 2023 – The rugby quarter-finals at NTC, Kabale, were nothing short of exhilarating as different schools battled fiercely to secure their spot in the semi-finals, scheduled to take place tomorrow at the same venue.

The action-packed day commenced with the clash between Jinja Senior Secondary School and Mwiri Secondary School. Jinja exhibited their superiority on the field, securing a resounding victory with a scoreline of 27-00. Their impressive performance set the tone for the day’s enthralling matchups.

Next up was the intense encounter between Kiira College Butiki and Nyakasura School. Both teams displayed immense vigor and determination, making it an intriguing spectacle for spectators. Ultimately, Kiira College Butiki emerged victorious, with a convincing scoreline of 27-07.

The third match witnessed a western showdown between Mbarara High School and Ntare School. The clash between the two regional powerhouses had everyone on the edge of their seats. In the end, it was Ntare School that claimed the hard-fought victory, prevailing with a score of 14-05.

The final game of the day featured a battle of the giants – London College versus St. Peters Nalya. The teams left no stone unturned, and the match was fiercely contested. When the final whistle blew, London College emerged triumphant, clinching the game with a score of 15-05.

Each match was fiercely fought for a duration of 14 minutes, divided into two halves lasting 7 minutes each, with 1 or 2 minutes allocated for time-outs.
