Nicholas Lukwago, Shafic Byamukama, and Jordan Achaye were on target as Kakungulu Memorial boys beat Mbarara High 3-0 in their group encounter at the ongoing Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games in Huye, Rwanda on Monday.
Kakungulu is firing on all cylinders as they also won their first encounter against Kenyan side Mangu High 3-1 on Sunday.

On Sunday, Mbarara High relied on Aziz Kayondo and Bruce Ahumuza’s efforts to draw 2-2 with Kenya’s St. Anthony. That draw set them up for a much-billed meeting with Kakungulu in the humid Huye but the defending champions were dominant from the start.
In the other pool, Trevor Agaba Amanya’s last-minute penalty corner conversion secured a 1-all draw for Ugandan champions Ntare School against fellow countrymen St. Mary’s College Kisubi (Smack), who had taken a 20-minute lead through Kelly Agaba.
Both sides had started the tournament on the wrong footing with Smack losing 1-0 to Kenya’s Musingu and Ntare losing 2-0 to Tanzania’s Arusha Meru.
For the Ugandan girls’ champions Kakungulu, Jolly Alimo scored late to secure a 1-all draw after Kenya’s Tigoi had taken an early lead through Philly Lavenda.
The defending champions Kakungulu are still in control of the round-robin competition after starting the campaign with a 4-1 win over fellow Ugandan side Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Viola Amwine and Elizabeth Anemigisha were on target as Bweranyangi beat Namagunga 2-0 on Monday. Bweranyangi were recovering from a 1-0 loss to Kenya’s Kitale.
Kitale followed it up by beating Uganda’s fourth representative Gayaza High School 5-0.
