A preparatory meeting has been held to share ideas and remind schools to register for the Elite Secondary School Championship 2024.
The Elite Championship is the curtain raiser for all USSSA games in a calendar year.
The 5th edition of the games will be held at Jinja SS with Jinja College co-hosting from 25th January to 27th January 2024. Participants are expected to arrived on 24th.
The meeting was attended by a total of 25 games teachers from schools such as Kawanda SS, St.Noa Girls Secondary School Zana, Mt. St.Mary’s College Namagunga, Jinja Progressive, Jinja SS, Jinja College, Standard High School Zana, Buddo Secondary School, Seroma,Christian High School, the Amazima School and Ngora High.
The meeting held on 10th January at USSSA Offices at GNS Plaza, Old Kampala chaired by Harriet Margaret Apolot, the 3rd Vice President USSSA where she addressed games teachers from several schools.
“You are hereby reminded to confirm your slot for the Elite championship by the 15th of January and you can only confirm participation through payment. There maybe other schools that are ready to take part so a timely communication is very important”.
“I would like to use this chance to remind you to register your athletes on the USSSA registration system. There should not be any fear of a student being taken but another school because once your register this athlete it means they will be attached to your school for the rest of the year”. “Jinja has several facilities and we are ready to welcome you om 24th January. The boys will reside at Jinja SS while the girls will reside at Jinja College”. Baliraine John Moses on behalf of co-hosts Jinja College.
Who is eligible to play?
For one to play they should have been born on or after 1st January 2024 and bonafide students of the said schools.
