The district qualifiers are part of the road map to the USSSA National Boys Football Championship- Masaka 2024 and the Fresh Dairy Games Girls Football 2024. The Bukedea district final to determine the district champion was played on the 22nd March 2024 at the Bukedea Primary Ground. The two jumbos of Bukedea region, Amus College School and fast-rising Bukedea Comprehensive School looked horns at either front that is boys and girls gold encounter.
As anticipated, the match attracted hundreds of spectators which thus further enhanced the context of the much heated Bukedea derby. Bukedea primary ground was already filled to the brim by afternoon with very anxious and passionate fans already chanting team songs.
The behemoth kicked off with the girls category where Amus College put their mark by sidelining Bukedea Comprehensive 2-0 thanks to strikes in either half by Tamis and Dorine. This set the tone for the contiguous contest in the boys Football category.
