For school sports for better

FRESH DAIRY GAMES: Commissioner Physical Education and Sports gives hopes to sports students.

During the opening ceremony of this year’s fresh dairy on Monday 29th April, the commissioner Emphasized that only bona-fide students should participate in school sports. “we believe that by 20 years someone is already done with A’level and someone beyond 20 years does not qualify to be in secondary since we believe that it’s automatic promotion” Commissioner physical education and Sports Dr Rev Canon Duncan Mugumya.

He also said that no school should be banned for having non bona-fide players instead the head teacher of the school should be arrested and tried because the sports the sports act provides guidelines to follow and to protect the athletes.


“We wouldn’t like to see a school being banned and other bona-fide players from that school loose the opportunity to participate in the national tournament which is very important since one will be awarded 4 free points as he/she joins University” he said
In 2023, a student registration system was introduced to help in the fight and overtime, new guidelines for registration, screening of players, and sanctioning of offending schools, administrators, and Players though over school so a lot of forgery and bribery.

The commissioner also advised local leaders to take part in the fighting of the vice and reporting the culprits to the police since screening will be done when police is available

The commissioner also appreciated the host head teacher who is to retire in the next 6 days and the administration of Ndejje University for good job done in making the championship successful
