The eight schools that qualified for quarter finals reported to Ndejje University where they shall be residing. The games will kick off on Wednesday 19th at Standard High School Zzana.
The Girls Football games resume at quarter final stage having been halted last month due to National team engagements.
Defending champions, Amus College School will taste the waters first as they take on Sacred Heart SSS Gulu in an early morning encounter.
Amus College captain Tamisi Shafiga expressed confidence in her teammates to deliver the trophy to Teso once more.
“As we managed to win it last year, we are here defend it. We know how good our opponents are but we believe we can beat them.”
Later, all attention will be driven onto the Kampala derby featuring Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga and Kawempe Muslim SS. A repeat of Kampala zone final that was played at Kibuli SS in April where the former triumphed and lifted the girls’ crown.
Uganda Martyrs will look to seal a place at the FEASSSA games in August hosted by Bukedea Comprehensive and Amus while Kawempe already booked their slot in Teso as defending champions.
2022 East Africa champions St. Noa Girls’ School will climax the day as they lock horns with Isingiro based Boni Consili Vocational Girls’ School.
