Amus College Prepares for World School Championships in Morocco

Bukedea, 4th July 2023 – Anyawo Frank, commonly known as “Video,” the head coach of Amus College in Bukedea, expressed his gratitude to Honorable Isiagi Opolot for providing the college with the opportunity to participate in the upcoming World School Championships. Coach Frank also extended his appreciation to the school administration and parents for their support in nurturing the students who will represent Bukedea on a global platform.

The preparations for the highly anticipated World School Championships, set to take place in Morocco, are in full swing at Amus College. Coach Frank, along with his fellow coaches, is tirelessly working day and night to ensure that the team delivers a commendable performance that reflects positively on Uganda and East Africa as a whole.

“We are dedicated to preparing our team to the best of our abilities. We want to make sure that when we go to Morocco, we represent Uganda with pride and do justice to the talent and potential of our players,” said Coach Frank. “The level of football worldwide has risen significantly, and it is crucial for us to perform at the highest standard.”

To gauge their preparedness, Amus College has been engaging in friendly matches with other local teams. However, Coach Frank acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding the abilities of other participating colleges, such as those from Brazil, China, France, and various other countries. Despite this, the focus remains on Amus College’s own performance, aiming to achieve their best on the international stage.

The World School Championships provide a unique opportunity for young athletes to showcase their skills and compete against talented teams from across the globe. The tournament serves as a platform to foster international camaraderie, cultural exchange, and sportsmanship among students.

Amus College is grouped in A with schools from France, Chile, and Nepal. Uganda is also represented by Kibli SS (Boys) and St Noah Girls SS
