Amus College School seeds dominance as Teso Zone qualifiers climax.

Teso zone confirmed its representatives in the forthcoming Fresh Dairy Games-Girls Football and National Boys Football Championship Masaka-2024. The zonal qualifiers finals were played at Ngora High School in Ngora District on 1st April 2024.

For Teso zone which bears four slots for either championship, it means that all semi finalists are through to the National Championship.

In the girls football category, Bukedea district champions Amus College School continued their magic to conquer the region having won 1-0 against Onset Secondary School in a closely contested final. Al Mahad Ibn Umar’s second half strike was enough to seal Amus’ victory.

Amus College thumped Labira Girls School 8-0 in the semi final while Onset Secondary School ejected Bukedea Comprehensive School at the same stage.

This therefore means all the four schools have booked their slots in the Fresh Dairy Games where Amus will hope to defend their crown.

Meanwhile in the boys duel, hosts Ngora High School were outpowered by Amus College School in the semi finals as Amus won 1-0.

In the second semi-final of the day, Kaberamaido district’s Kobulubulu Secondary School conquered Bukedea Comprehensive School 8-7 on penalties having played out a stalemate in regular time. The boys’ final date will be communicated by the Teso Region organising Committee.

Therefore Teso zone will be represented by Amus College School, Bukedea Comprehensive School, Kobulubulu Secondary School and Ngora High School in Masaka in the National Boys Championship finals.
