Team Uganda wrapped up their ANOCA School Games 2025 football campaign on a high, defeating Sudan 3–1 to claim the bronze medal in the boys’ football category.

Mukasa Owen opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a calm finish from the penalty spot after a foul inside the area.

Moments later, Jemba Gideon doubled Uganda’s lead in the 30th minute with a composed strike and he wasn’t done yet.

Jemba returned to the scoresheet in the 37th minute, completing his brace and sealing Uganda’s place on the podium.

Despite a late consolation goal from Sudan, Uganda’s dominance was never in doubt.

The bronze medal adds to Uganda’s growing medal tally at the Games in Algeria, bronze in basketball 3X3 and silver in athletics.

The ANOCA School Games inaugural edition kicked off on 26th July and will come to a close on 5th August 2025.
