Beach Soccer: semi finals loom in Teso- USSSA Ball Games

Overview

The final group matchday prevailed as teams oozed class and competition intensified. Kigezi High School notably were again in high flying mode as they managed to collect maximum points.

Kigezi Zone representatives Kigezi High School is flying high heading into the most crucial part of the championship.

Off a 2-1 penalty shootout victory against Defending champions Standard High School Zzana, Kigezi continued their winning streak as they beat St. Lawrence Paris Palais 3-2.

A tough Paris Palais which initially looked defensively solid in the opening periods, gave up their one nil lead to a resilient Kigezi High School side which was lucky to grab an equalizer resulting from an own goal.

The game later became a Kigezi show as two quick fire goals got the Kigezi side into the driving seat.

Paris Palais later got a goal in the closing stages of the third period though Kigezi stood strong and managed the proceedings.

Kigezi High School came out of group A second behind Standard High School Zzana who beat The Academy of St. Lawrence 10:2.

Kigezi High School will face London College while Standard High School Zzana will face Hosts Teso College Aloet in boys beach soccer
