Boni Concilli, Group B Runners-up, Sets Sights on Third Place.

Ugandan representatives at the U-17 CAF Girls Integrated Football Tournament in Tanzania, Boni Concilli Girls Vocational School Team has finished group B as runners up and will now vie for position number three.

Grouped alongside TDS Girls from Tanzania and Aigle Noir FC from Burundi, Boni had a faulty start losing 2-0 to TDS Girls.

TDS went on to beat Aigle Noir 2-0 to secure top position and a spot in the finals leaving Aigle and Boni fight for the second and third places.

Yesterday Tuesday 14th, both teams faced off in the last group game which ended in a one all draw.

Boni Concilli took the lead in the 10th minute through Peace Ayiorwoth, who scored with a low shot to the far post, stretching the goalkeeper who couldn’t reach the ball.

With 8 minutes left to play, Era Kezimana restored parity with a long range shot following the free kick clearance by Boni’s defense and the game ended 1-1.

Following their draw and the fact that all teams had lost their opening fixtures 2-0 respectively, they tied in many aspects. Both teams had one point, scoring 1 goal and conceding two goals each.

How Was Boni Concilli Ranked Number Two?

Having tied in many aspects, discipline had to separate the two ties. Boni Concilli Girls had one yellow card while Aigle Noir had two, giving an advantage to the Ugandan side.

Boni Concilli Girls will then play Kenya Academy of Sports on 16th January 2025 at 6PM for positions 3 and 4.
