CAF U17 GIFT: Boni Consili Girls’ earn slim win over Kawempe Select Team in practice match.

Ankole Zone’s, Boni Consili Girls’ Vocational SS engaged a new gear in their preparations for the forthcoming inaugural CAF Girls Integrated Football Tournament that will take place from 7th to 18th January 2025 at Azam Complex in Dar es Salam in Tanzania.

The team on Friday afternoon had a practice match at Hamz Nakivubo Stadium against a Kawempe Select Team.

In a high intensity match between the two teams, showed preparedness of Boni Consili team .

Agnes Nabukenya opened the score sheet for Kawempe select before the end of first half as Ayirowoth peace scored the equalizer in the 53th minute of the match and Ariho Rinah scored the winning goal.

The game is part of the preparations for the inaugural CAF Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) that will take place from 7th to 18th January 2025 at Azam Complex in Dar es Salam in Tanzania..

The team will fly to Tanzania for the tournament on Sunday morning.

Coach Hussein Said of Boni Consili believes there are some areas that have improved and some few hat need address despite the win against the Kawempe Select team.

“We have had a practice match against Kawempe Select team and the main reason was to gauge where we stand so far. I believe we still have some things to iron out especially in defence and this will be our area of focus going forward.” He said.
