Boni Consilii to represent Uganda at CAF U17 Girls’ Tournament in Tanzania.

Boni Consilli Girls’ Vocational SS will be the Ugandan representatives at the CECAFA level that will take place from January 5^th to 18^th  2025 in Tanzania.

They will compete against other girls from countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Djibouti.

Confederation of Africa Football has introduced the Under 17 Girls’ Integrated football tournament (GIFT) as a pilot project

Boni Consilli have been selected on the criteria of being under 16 football champions of the Secondary School National Ball Games II that was held in Teso College Aloet in Soroti City.

They overcame Kawempe Muslim SS in a penalty shootout 4-1 after a one all draw in regular time.

Through an invitation to the National Football governing body FUFA, USSSA gladly nominated and invited the Isingiro district based school in Ankole zone.

“The tournament is Under 17 and most of the students that lifted the trophy in Soroti were under 16 so we plan to have the same girls play in Tanzania because they are still of the right age.” concluded the Team Manager Liiga Francis

USSSA will provide feeding and accommodation during the championship, an allowance for 20 participants and 2 officials in addition to fuel for the bus that will transport the team to Tanzania as confirmed by Christopher Mugisha Banage, Chief Executive Officer.
