Buddo SS,Tagy High Wakiso district football champions.

Buddo SS beat National Champions St. Marys Kitende in a slime 2-1 victory to defend Wakiso district football the Wakiso district football trophy in the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) qualifiers at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.

Joseph Kizza and Denis Kisiriko were on target for champions Buddo SS whilst Abdul Nsereko netted for St. Mary’s Kitende.

In the semi-final, St. Mary’s Kitende eliminated Kawempe Royal College by 4-2 in penalties after a normal time 1-1 draw. Ali Wasswa and Abdul Nsereko scored for Kawempe and Kitende in the normal time respectively.

Unstoppable forward Kamiyat Nayigaga scored the only goal of the game to guide Taggy to their second consecutive trophy.

St. Noa Girls-Zana labored past Rines SS in the Semi-final, progressing to the final by a 4-2 penalty shootout win after a goalless normal time draw.

Kamiyat Nayigaga and Zaitun Namaganda scored for Taggy while Patricia netted for Wakiso Hill.

Buddo SS, Kitende, London College, STAHIZA, Kawempe Royal College will represent Wakiso district at the forthcoming USSSA National Schools boys football championship set to be held at Nyakasura School in Fort-Portal City, Kabalore district.

Whilst Taggy, St. Noa, Rines, Wakiso Hill, Fairway High School, Aiden College and God Cares qualified for USSSA Fresh Diary Games to be held in Mbarara.
