Road to Ngora and Bukedea Continues To Tighten
The Bunyoro Zonal Secondary School Sports Association Committee has officially confirmed the participating schools for the 2025 Bunyoro Zonal Qualifiers, set to take place in Hoima City from April 10th, 2025, at Duhaga Secondary School.
A total of over 30 schools from nine districts within the Bunyoro Zone will compete in various disciplines. The committee’s secretary, Barongo Susen, revealed that the increase in the number of slots in some districts, such as Masindi, was due to the high number of participating schools at the district level, the quality of the games, and the impressive performance at the national level.
Masindi’s Kabalega SS made history by ranking 10th in football and 11th in basketball at the national level, earning recognition and additional slots for the district.
Bunyoro Zonal Chairman, Kugonza Fred, issued a stern warning to games teachers, cautioning them against manipulating the albums. “We will not tolerate any form of cheating this year. Any school found guilty will be disqualified immediately and handed over to the police,” he emphasized.
