The five-day Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Capacity Building Training culminated in a vibrant closing ceremony at Ngora High School. The event was graced by the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Jillian Akullu Omara, who emphasized the importance of discipline among the participants.
At the closing ceremony, RDC Jilian highlighted the vital role of discipline in achieving success.
“Without discipline, there is no future. You must understand that discipline is key,” she said, urging the participants to carry forward the values instilled during the training.”
The program saw 82 participants receive training in Football Coaching and Refereeing, This marked the first time Ngora High School hosted a capacity-building training, a milestone for the institution and the district.
The training aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of sports professionals, equipping them to improve sports programs in their respective schools and communities. Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity, promising to apply their newfound expertise to uplift sports standards in their areas.
