Participants were awarded certificates after a week of learning and later examination both practically and theoretically.
The participants are being trained to both coach and officiate several sports such as netball, football, volleyball, handball, basketball as well as media.
The training is also taking place at Dr. Obote College ,Lira for participants in Northern Uganda , Mbarara High School and Amus College School for those in Western and Eastern regions respectively.
“We must accept to professionalize our Sport and it begins with capacity building – People must understand why they are involved with the Sports sub-sector,” Ogwang said. “For me, I want to commend them (USSSA), they are beginning from the basics, and that’s what has been lacking.”
