Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) executive has announced an extension of the Online registration deadline for the 2024. The extension is aimed at ensuring that all eligible athletes do not miss out on the opportunity to register.
The original deadline for registration was February 29, 2024, but this has now been extended to March 7, 2024. The Chief Executive Officer of USSSA,Mugisha Christopher Banage urged games teachers and Headteachers to take advantage of this extension and ensure that all eligible athletes are registered.
“USSSA has extended the period of registration…to accommodate more athletes that had not been able to register by the end of the initial deadline of 29th February 2024,” Mugisha noted. According to USSA statistics, by the original registration deadline, a total of 12000 athletes have been registered across all disciplines . However, specific figures for each discipline were not disclosed.
With the registration extension, schools have until June 7th to register candidates without any additional fees. surcharge.
It is important for schools to note that no athletes will be allowed to register after March 7th 2024 apart from Senior Five students.
