The Federation of East Africa School Sports Association( FEASSA) approved Bukedea Comprehensive and Amus College Schools to host the 2024 FEASSA games after satisfying the requirements needed to host these games.
This was confirmed by the FEASSA president Justus Mugisha.
“It is now confirmed that our games of 2024 will be hosted in Eastern Uganda by Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School not leaving Mbale city. This decision has been made after several inspections and the committee found out that the requirements needed are all available both finished and also ready to be completed,” Mugisha announced.
“Therefore, this implies that these schools will host the upcoming 2024 FEASSA Games starting on 16th – 27th August which will include schools from Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania Burundi, and the host Uganda,” he added.
In a plenary meeting held at Mountain Inn Mbale on Sunday 21st July 2024, the inspection team of all member states were in unison and called for support towards the two schools as quoted by our media on X account

I convey apologies from our commissioner who had commitments and couldn't make it here.
I want to borrow from one of our host schools that we are 200% ready.

The best record of hosting was in Arusha but I hope the record will be broken by Uganda and everything will go as promised. I wish all facilities in Bukedea and Amus will be completed by the time we come for the games

On behalf of the Kenyan Government, I want to appreciate what you people have done in Uganda, it is rare that individuals come in and do what the two schools have done. In the spirit of wanting the children to explore other parts of the country, I want to commend Uganda for considering Eastern Uganda and Bukedea in particular to host the games. This has led to development of these sports infrastructure that never existed.
I wish all the schools success
Thank you for following school sports.
