Gadaffi integrated made a goal feast, whipping Kapchorwa SS 10-0 in the girls football as the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Fresh Diary games commenced in Gulu on Tuesday.
The one sided game saw Sofia Nakiyingi grab a hat trick with a double each from Joweria Nagadya, Brenda Kwaka and Samina Nakalyowa as Patricia Aturinda added one.
Record winners and national secondary Schools girls football defending champions Kawempe Moslem started their title defense with a 5-0 thumping of Kibingo Girls Sheema as the A Hadijah Nandago double and a goal apiece from Susan Nalukodda, Samalie Nakacwa and Allen Nassali ensured Kawempe started right in a tough group A where fast improving Olila Girls saw off Nyondo SS 3-0.
In basketball, national and FEASSSA games boys champions Buddo SS took Mengo SS for a lesson with a 63-14 win, while in the girls category, holders St Mary’s Kitende beat debutantes St Catherine Girls Lira 66-02.
The games will continue tomorrow with all action in girls football, basketball, badminton, table tennis, tennis, rugby 15s and hockey.
