Brendah Chekwemoi hit the start button for Uganda in the quest for medals as she scooped a silver medal in the 800M race at Bahrain International stadium. Brendah came second just three microseconds behind Ioulianna Rousunu from Greece who ran a time of 2:11:66 compared to Brendah’s 2:11:69.

Seroma Christian High School girls and boys got their campaign underway at Isa sports Centre although it was not the best of starts for the young lads on the International stage.
Seroma Christian High School girls lost 6-21 to Romania Girls’ side in their opener. They proceeded and fell short 3-13 and 3-20 against Chinese Taipei and Brazil.The boys’ side got off to a flying start after beating Nepal 14-8 at the same venue.
However the shine did not last long as they later lost 12-16 against North Macedonia.

Another medal in sight
Kibuli SS lawn tennis boys team stormed semi finals in the boys doubles in a game played at Bahrain tennis courts.
Zziwa Troy Adrian and Kato Saidi Musa have been exceptional dispatching opponents with ease.
The Kibuli SS boys play Chinese Taipei in semi finals on Monday 28th October.
Meanwhile, Sunday 27th will be a day for team Uganda to explore and appreciate the beauty of different sites that embed Bahrain history and heritage.
The cultural and unity incentive of the ISF Gymnasiade will be at play later in the day as all the participating 70 countries from across the world will gather at Isa Sports facility for the Culture and Nations night.
Each country will have a 2 minute traditional performance of their choice of which Uganda is no exception.
The ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 game day 3 returns on Monday where Uganda will hope to garner more medals.
