ISF: silver and bronze for Uganda in Dalian

Uganda bagged two medals that is silver and bronze at the ISF Football World Cup in Dalian City- China. Uganda 1 (Amus College School) settled for silver having fallen short against China 1 in the penalty shootouts while Bukedea Comprehensive (Uganda 2) beat China 2 to cement third place.

Amus College School who finished 17th in the same championship last year in Morocco outdone themselves to clinch second position where they narrowly lost to China in the penalty shootouts.

Davis Busuulwa was the man of the moment for team Uganda in the final. His brace was all Amus needed to come back into the game having gone a goal down on two occasions.

China 1 bagged boys football gold winning 5-4 after the two all draw in the captivating eighty minutes.

Meanwhile, Bukedea Comprehensive School (Uganda 2) cemented position number 3 after defeating China 2 1-0 thanks to a 76th minute strike by Karim Abdul Ssengozi.

Uganda 3 (SMACK) beat India 7-0 to mark position 31.

Amus College School girls team lost 3-0 to Taipei China which left them in 8th position.

The boys’ category featured 36 teams compared to the 19 that participated in the girls’.
