Jinja SS overcame a fighting St. Mary’s Yala to win their third rugby sevens game 21-17 at the ongoing Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games in Huye, Rwanda on Monday.

Emmanuel Oddoi scored one try and converted two while Godwin Ejuu scored and converted one apiece to set them on course. The other try came from Walter Otim.

Yala’s Brian Ochieng, Joseph Onyango and Fidel Ajuoga matched the Ugandan side’s tries but Glacious Nganya could only convert one of his efforts in the humid Rwandan weather as they suffered yet another loss.

The other Ugandan sides Makerere and London College have also lost both of their games.

Meanwhile, in the 15s, Ugandan champions King’s College Budo lost to their mates St. Mary’s College Kisubi 13-7 on Sunday.

They were stunned on Monday by a 27-6 loss to Kenya’s Butula. The side can do with a rest day but are tipped to immediately bounce back when they return on pitch later in the week.
