In a thrilling development, two teams from Uganda have been selected to represent the country at the prestigious ISF World Schools Basketball Championship 2024. Elite High School Entebbe will be flying the flag for the boys’ team, while a joint team comprising talented players from various schools will represent the girls’ team.
This marks a historic debut for both teams, as they prepare to take on some of the best school teams from around the world.
The boys’ team has been drawn in Group D and will face off against some tough opponents, including Mongolia, China 2, Brazil, and Serbia.
The girls’ team, meanwhile, has been drawn in Group C and will face China 2, France, and Chinese Taipei.
The championship, scheduled to take place in Macao, China, from June 23rd to July 3rd, promises to be an exciting event, with the Ugandan teams determined to make a strong impression in their debut appearance.
