The CAF Africa Schools Football Championship will officially kick off on Wednesday, 23rd, and climax on 26th this month in Accra, Ghana.
The U-15 featuring tournament has attracted 16 teams that will compete in both boys and girls.
Uganda’s boys team was drawn in group A alongside hosts Ghana, North Africans Algeria, and South Africa, while the girls were drawn in group B alongside defending champions South Africa, The Gambia, and Dr. Congo.
The Uganda girls’ team will kick off the journey, taking on defending champions South Africa at 10:00 AM local time (1:00 PM EAT) a game which will be played from the University of Ghana Stadium and will be live on CAF TV
The boys’ team will open the marathon with hosts Ghana at 11:30 AM local time, 2:30 PM EAT, a game that will also be broadcast on CAF TV.
The Uganda girls’ football team head coach Jimmy Kintu is optimistic that the girls will be up to the task.

Uganda boys head coach Hassan Zungu hopes to build on the experience of Ashraf Kyakuwa, Mukwanga Adrian and Trevor Mubiru who were part of Uganda Cubs squad that qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup recently.
